Woven with Dharmavaram Craftsmanship

From Dharmavaram to Your Wardrobe
Ramanji Handlooms is based in Shanthi Nagar, Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh, working with the handloom silk weaving tradition the town is known for. Every saree in our collection carries that Dharmavaram connection.
What Makes Dharmavaram Silk Sarees Special?
Dharmavaram silk sarees are handloom silk sarees woven in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh, recognised for their broad, contrast zari borders, richly worked pallus and traditional temple and animal motifs — a weaving tradition distinct from, though often compared with, Kanchipuram silk.
Weaving & Zari
Dharmavaram sarees are traditionally handwoven on pit looms, with the zari border and body often woven separately and interlocked — giving the wide border its characteristic definition against the body colour.
Motifs
Temple arches, elephants, deer, peacocks and floral vines are common motifs on Dharmavaram borders and pallus.
Bridal & Wedding Relevance
The rich pallu and dense zari work of Dharmavaram silk make it a longstanding choice for bridal wear, wedding ceremonies and festivals across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and beyond.
Buying Considerations
Consider the silk type, zari type, border width and motif, saree weight, and — for bridal buyers — pallu density. Ramanji Handlooms lists these details on every product page.
